Wendy J. Costa is a photographer and painter living in the northwest corner of Connecticut. She is a fierce advocate for the Earth, and uses her infrared photography to bring attention to its beauty and fragile state.

Juror Jill Enfield has selected the three photographs below for this exhibit opening Friday July 25, from 6-8 pm at Five Points Gallery. The show will continue through September 6. The Gallery is at 7 Water Street in Torrington, CT. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 1-5 pm. Over 800 entries were submitted for this exhibition, and 185 works were chosen.

Woodland Swamp Reflections was selected for the Trees & Water exhibit at Black Box Gallery in Portland, Oregon by curator Todd Johnson. The show continues through May 25.

Walking on the Sky earned second place Photography honors in the Ferguson, Sherr, Rea Awards at the annual Members’ Show, Washington Art Association, March 2025. Jane Eckert, Juror.

Walking on the Sky was also chosen by juror Steven Holmes for inclusion in Small Works 2024 at Five Points Gallery, which ran from November 22, 2024 through January 4, 2025.
